Welcome to the 5th tutorial in our series on the CSS Grid. Relying on CSS Grid will be one of the major changes in Joomla 4.
Cassiopeia, the default frontend template for Joomla 4, was created with CSS Grid. Valentin, our lead designer, is working on converting our templates to Joomla 4 and he's constantly surprised at how much CSS Grid is being used in Joomla 4.

You really should try launch.joomla.org, the new demo system for Joomla sites.
In less than 60 seconds, you can create a test site for Joomla 3 and also Joomla 4! This really is the best way to test Joomla.
If you want to test a new extension, or check the progress of Joomla 4, then launch.joomla.org is a great option.

OSDonate and PayPal Users: You Must Get an SSL Certificate with TLS 1.2

The New Joomla 4 Administrator Template

Back in August, we took a first look at Joomla 4.
This was part of a series of posts on Joomla that have also covered the new Media Manager and the new installer.
Overall, I was really impressed with Joomla 4 ... except for the administrator template. The admin screens were not well-designed.
Well, I now have much better news! The first alpha version of Joomla 4 has just arrived, and the Joomla team are making great progress on the admin area.

Over the last few weeks, we've been previewing what's to come in Joomla 4.
We took a first look at Joomla 4, and mentioned that the Wright Framework now works on Joomla 4 sites! We also wrote about the new Media Manager in Joomla 4.
This week, we're going to look at the new installation process in Joomla 4.
The new installer is designed to be much easier to use, and to be fully A11Y compliant.
