Joomla 3.8 Launched With a Secret Feature

There's an Easter Egg hidden in the new Joomla 3.8.
Earlier this week, we wrote about (almost) all the new features in Joomla 3.8.
Well, it turns out we missed one, and it wasn't mentioned in any of the launch announcements either.
Thanks to this patch, the Articles screen now has much more powerful features.
Go to Content > Articles in your Joomla site, and you'll be able to use multi-select filters to search for articles. This will be very useful for sites with large numbers of articles. This feature supports Categories, Access Levels, Authors, and Tags.

Joomla 3.8 has been released and it's time to update your sites.
Much of the energy in the Joomla project is going towards Joomla 4, but there still new features arriving in 3.8.
The headline improvement in 3.8 are new URLs that will make Joomla more search engine-friendly, but there are several interesting new features for developers.

JandBeyond was last weekend in Poland. This is big annual Joomla conference in Europe. The session videos are now on YouTube.
Almost all the Joomla teams were at the conference, so there was lots of Joomla news from the event.
There is now a plan for the release of Joomla 3.8, which will include a new router and the initial steps towards Joomla 4.
