How to Customize the Donate Button in OSDonate Module

In this guide, you’ll learn how to replace the default "Donate" PayPal's button with a custom button of your choice.

Step #1: Create or Download a Custom Donate Button

Before we begin, you’ll need a custom Donate button. You can either create one yourself or download a license-free button from a reputable source.

Step #2: Upload Your Custom Button to Joomla

Log into your Joomla admin dashboard.
Navigate to Content > Media.
Click Upload and select your custom Donate button.
Once uploaded, find the image in your chosen folder.
Hover over the image, then click the three-dot icon.

Step #3: Copy the Image Link

In the pop-up menu, click "Get Link".

A new pop-up labeled "Share the file" will appear.
Click the "Copy to clipboard" icon next to the image link.

Step 4: Update the OSDonate Module Settings

Go to Extensions > Modules and open the OSDonate module.
Look for the setting labeled "PayPal button image".
Replace the existing link with the one you just copied.

Step #5: Save and Check Your Changes

Click Save or Save & Close.
Visit the front end of your site to confirm your new custom Donate button is displayed. That’s it! Your OSDonate module now features your custom Donate button.
