How to Position Social Icons with Shack Icons Pro

Our"Shack Icons Pro" Joomla extension is a module. This means that it positions the block of social icons to any position available in your Joomla template.

For example, you may prefer positioning your social icons above the content of your Joomla articles:

above the content

You may also decide to position them below the content of your Joomla articles:

below the content

Or may prefer to keep to place the icons to the right of your Joomla articles:

to the right

You may instead prefer to place them to the left:

to the left

Let's, for example, take a look at how to place the icons above the articles. Once you learn this, you will be able to position your social icons at any other position offered by your Joomla template.

For this demonstration, I will be using the Joomlashack Mondrian template. 

  • In your Joomla administrator panel, open up your "Social Icons Pro" module for editing.
  • On the right-hand side of the screen, find the "Position" parameter and set it to the position above the content. In my Mondrian template, this position is fittingly called "above-position":

  • Click "Save" or "Save & Close".

If we now check the front of our Joomla site, we will find the social icons above the Joomla articles, just as we saw on one of the demonstration screenshots before.

Our"Shack Icons Pro" Joomla 5 extension is a module. This means that it positions the block of social icons to any position available in your Joomla template.

Here are come examples. We will use a few positions available in the Joomla 5 stock Cassiopeia template. 

Example #1. Position sidebar-right

In case you are new to positioning Joomla 5 modules, let's take a look at how to place the social icons using the Cassiopeia main-top module position.

Once you learn this, you will be able to position your social icons on any position offered by your own Joomla template.

  • In your Joomla admin dashboard, open up your "Social Icons Pro" module for editing.
  • On the right-hand side of the screen, find the "Position" parameter and set it to the position main-top:

  • Click "Save" or "Save & Close".

If we now check the front of our Joomla site, we will find the social icons at the top of your Joomla 5 content area, just as you saw in the previous image.
