Starting from version 3.7.0, the Wright framework now allows you customize colors directly from the Joomla admin area.
This means now you can change the default color scheme to whatever you wish. Plus, all our Joomla templates will have the same feature.
We've resisted adding this feature in the past because we wanted to keep Wright as lightweight as possible. However, we listen to Joomlashack customers and this is a frequently requested feature. We will continue to expand on this feature in the next few weeks and months,
How to change the default color scheme
If you are using the Wright template, be sure you are using version 3.7.0 or newer.
- Go to Extensions > Templates > js_wright
- Choose "Custom" as Style
- Choose a new Color scheme
- Save changes
- Click on the "Compile LESS to CSS" button to rebuild the custom style with your new color scheme
- Refresh your frontend to see the new color scheme in action:
Important: every time you select different colors for the custom style, is required to save changes first. Then click "Compile LESS to CSS" button to rebuild the style.
Please note that some browsers hard-cache the CSS, especially Chrome. If you don't see the changes reflected immediately, you may need to clear cache.
Custom colors for all the Joomlashack templates
All our templates already have support for custom colors. Please follow the same process described in this post.
