Are you looking to learn Inbound marketing? The blogosphere is the absolute best place to get started. This list will show you which educational publications you should be frequenting!
A few weeks ago, I published an article on the best free learning resources for new Inbound marketers. That post has been one of the most popular on the jInbound blog to date, leading me to conclude that you, dear reader, are looking to learn more about Inbound Marketing.
On top of that, you're a learner after my own heart, who wants to obtain that knowledge at the elusive price of free-ninety nine.
Fortunately, the adage "you get what you pay for" doesn't really apply in the Inbound learning realm. There are literally hundreds of expert marketers out there sharing their wealth of knowledge at no price.
In this post, I'll introduce you to a few of my favorites. Add these to your RSS or daily reading routine, and you'll be an Inbound pro in no time.
Just don't forget the little people once you've made it to the top!
Here, in no particular order, are the Inbound Marketing blogs you'd be a fool no to check out:
Marketing Experiments
This is not one of the most well known blogs in the industry, but the authors do an incredible job sharing insights from testing that always has me scratching my head.
The marketing experiments team tests things like "What happens if I change my landing page from one column to two?" and reports outcomes in a way that is actionable for you.
Don't expect a lengthy new post every day, but be ready for some pretty unexpected insights with each new article.
Copyblogger
To be a great Inbound marketer, you have to hone your writing skills. Copyblogger is a content marketing training course who's founders happen to publish one of the best blogs in the business.
Whether you're battling writer's block or just looking for tips to improve your skills, Copyblogger has a cleverly worded post for you.
With new articles posted nearly every day, there's no shortage of content on this blog written by some of the best writers in content marketing.
Search Engine Journal
Think SEO is dead? Think again. As the SEO industry has continued down a convoluted path, Search Engine Journal has detailed each change to the way SEOs operate.
SEJ blends breaking news stories with simple How-To's, and their pieces can be applied to all levels of SEO knowledge.
If you're looking to learn more about doing search engine optimization, or just wanting to stay on top of industry trends, SEJ is your source.
Social Media Examiner
Any skilled Inbound marketer can tell you that staying on top of social media changes is a surefire way to stay at the top of your audience's mind.
Think of updates like the launch of Vine, or Instagram's introduction of video sharing. The sooner and more thoroughly marketers understand these possibilities, the sooner they can start exploring them as marketing mechanisms.
Social Media Examiner will keep you in the loop of all thing social with Case Studies, Podcasts, and tutorials.
HubSpot
In the Inbound blogging world, nobody does it quite like HubSpot.
HubSpot's blog is broken into four main categories (Marketing, Sales, Insiders, Opinion) with 30 topics ranging from A/B Testing to Video Marketing. You'll find lengthy, short, factual, and comical articles presented in unique formats like SlideShare.
If you're looking for a publication that's updated every day, several times a day, HubSpot will be your happy place.
Moz
In tandem with the Inbound industry as a whole, Moz has undergone some big changes in the last year.
As the world of SEO has struggled and shifted under big Google updates, Moz has rebranded (from formerly SEOmoz) into an Inbound company, rather than an SEO company.
The blog now encompasses the broader world of Inbound, but the community is still very much a group of SEO enthusiasts and pros.
Moz's blog posts are witty, helpful, and always drive a conversation in the comments. If you're interested in learning SEO from others in the trenches, the YouMoz blog is authored entirely by community members and is a goldmine for tips.
